I recall seeing this in the used bins a lot in the 90’s. I expect people thought it was grunge, or XTC-flavored jangle pop because all they’d heard was “If I Can’t Change Your Mind”, and didn’t realize it was post-punk. Or didn’t know what post-punk was. God, I envy them. Imagine being able to be all like “Hüsker hü?”
This wasn’t too bad though. I am glad Bob Mould sold out and tried to appeal to the kids who are now in their 50’s. As I am almost 50, that makes this sound kind of good to me.
